The Crypto Cut · every day · after the daily close

Most of crypto didn't make the cut.
We'll tell you which, and why.

We scan the same 50 liquid coins after every UTC daily close. A coin is published only when two detectors agree and it passes every check. Most days nothing does, and the edition says so plainly. Everything we passed on is published too, with the reason.

Every reader gets the same card. Size is shown as a share of your account at a fixed 0.5% risk per card, never in dollars. The stop is always printed before the target.

The Cut: what we passed on
The checks, this edition
How a coin makes the cut

Two detectors have to agree.

Three detectors look at every coin after the close. One firing is activity, not a setup. A coin goes further only when at least two of them agree.

2x THE 30-DAY MEDIAN

Volume expansion

Yesterday's dollar volume was more than twice its 30-day median, on an up day. Fresh participation, not drift.

CLOSE ABOVE THE 20-DAY HIGH

Range breakout

The daily close cleared the highest high of the prior 20 days. A trend continuation attempt.

+5 POINTS VS BTC OVER 7 DAYS

Strength vs BTC

The coin's 7-day return beat Bitcoin's by at least five percentage points. Money rotating in, not the whole market lifting.

  1. Two detectors agree. One alone goes to The Cut.
  2. Enough volume to trade. At least $2M traded on the day.
  3. The stop can survive noise. It sits at the 10-day low, at least one day's average range away and no more than 15% away.
  4. The target is a level we found. The highest high of the last 120 days, above the entry. No round-number guesses.
  5. The reward covers the risk. At least 2x the distance to the stop.
  6. Not on cooldown. A coin published in the last 7 days waits.
The record

No numbers until they mean something.

Every published card is followed until it hits its stop, its target, or its 10-day time stop. The coins we passed on are followed the same way, so the two can be compared. When a single day touches both stop and target, the order is unknowable from daily data, so it is marked ambiguous rather than counted as a win. Averages publish once 30 cards have resolved.

Kill criteria

Written down before the first reader.

The validation window runs 90 days. If any of these trip, the edition is stopped with a public note, and a revised design starts a new window from zero.

Not yet measurable

After 30 or more resolved cards, published cards average zero or less in R.

Measured at day 90

Over the window, published cards do no better than The Cut.

Holding

An edition goes out with data that failed a gate. Gates fail closed: a bad data day produces no edition.

Holding

Two wrong or duplicate editions inside the window.

Then decide, with Wisdom

A signal tells you what moved. Wisdom asks if you should act.

Every card links into Crypto Wisdom, the decision coach. It stress-tests the setup against your own portfolio: does it fit, what would make it wrong, and what to check before you act.
